Online Service for 26 May | Windmill United Benefice

This week is Trinity Sunday. In the Benefice we have a single joint service with the Bishop of Croydon at 11am at St John the Baptist, Outwood. For those worshipping online, we are repeating the online service for Trinity from a previous year, which was led by the Revd Charles Sargent.

Thou, whose almighty word
chaos and darkness heard,
and took their flight;
hear us, we humbly pray,
and where the Gospel day
sheds not its glorious ray,

Thou, who didst come to bring
On thy redeeming wing,
Healing and sight,

Sight to the inly blind,
O now to humankind

Spirit of truth and love,

The Collect for the Trinity Sunday
Almighty and everlasting God,
you have given us your servants grace,
by the confession of a true faith,
to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity
and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity:
keep us steadfast in this faith,
that we may evermore be defended from all adversities;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen

The Prayers

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds thy hand has made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy pow’r throughout the universe displayed.
