The Windmill Songmen is a group of men from the villages who meet to prepare secular songs. These are performed at several events throughout the year, in Smallfield, Outwood and further afield. It has a relaxed approach: “no commitment, just fun!”

The group is a form of outreach and includes men who do not normally attend church. Good camaraderie has been established.

Repertoire has included shanties, folk songs, Flanders & Swann as well as songs from both World Wars and spanning the last 7 decades. Anyone who might be interested in joining the group should speak to Ginette Nye.
